North Hobart's historic Palfreymans Building clock has been restored by Nuttings Clock and Watch and is now keeping perfect time again. Made by Famous Melbourne Clockmaker Fritz Ziegeler it was installed in 1919 at a cost of 80 Pounds!! Ziegeler made Hobart's GPO clock and the clocks in Flinders Street Station as well as many others. The clock was in a sad state of disrepair and a complete strip down induced repainting the frame in the original colour and making a new dust cover to replace the original which has been lost. The outside lighting has been reinstalled with led lighting now showing the clock dial for all to see at night .I am very proud the clock is going again for its 100th Birthday and hope "Fritz" has many more to come.
